While I was in southern Ontario over the holidays, I did an interview about the books with Waterloo Region-based writer Nancy Silcox. An article based on that interview will likely be published in early February.
While I was at her house, I helped Nancy out and provided an impartial hand to draw names from a hat. She donates her writing income to charity, and this year decided to do this by soliciting suggestions from various local notables, putting them in a hat, and having me pull out two at random — the two that emerged were Pride Stables, which provides horseback riding for disabled children, and ROOF, which provides services for youth at risk of homelessness.
