The Harper government, in line with their neoliberal and colonial fundamentalism, is continuing the latest efforts by the Canadian state to destroy the last remaining indigenous land-base in northern Turtle Island by making moves twoards the privatization of reserve lands. In this audio clip, long-time indigenous activist Roger Obonsawin talks about his involvement in an effort that successfully defeated a similar measure — at that time called The Chartered Lands Act — in the early 1990s.
