Talking Radical Radio

Talking Radical has long been committed to producing history through listening to grassroots voices. We are now excited to announce a new project with a contemporary focus also organized around listening to participants in Canadian social movements: Talking Radical Radio. This weekly, half-hour show will bring you grassroots voices from across Canada. Using in-depth interviews, it will concentrate not on current events or the crisis of the moment, but on giving people involved in a broad range of social change work a chance to take a longer view as they talk about what they do, how they do it, and why they do it.

This latest endeavour by Scott Neigh, the author of Gender and Sexuality: Canadian History Through the Stories of Activists and Resisting the State: Canadian History Through the Stories of Activists, will debut in early February 2013 on a national podcasting venue, Rabble.ca, and as a radio show on 96.7 FM CKLU in Sudbury, Ontario. Once the show is in regular production, Scott will be approaching community radio stations across the country and offering them the opportunity to broadcast this unique combination of national scope and grassroots focus.
