Frank and Isabel Showler on Pacifism During the Second World War

In this four-minute audio clip, Frank and Isabel Showler reflect, in light of the narratives that have become dominant in public discourse about the Second World War in the decades since it ended, on their decision to stick to their left-wing pacifist politics throughout the conflict (including Frank’s incarceration in various camps for conscientious objectors in northern Ontario and British Columbia).
